Here’s a few videos from my YouTube Channel showcasing some recent repairs and clock conversions. Whenever I perform a repair / conversion – the customer is sent a link to a YouTube video of their finished clock. This way the customer gets to see the completed work BEFORE payment is made and the clock is returned.
Classic Car Clock “Repairs” / Conversions
I produced this short 4 minute long video to help potential customers understand what I do with Classic Car Clocks. I do not repair the broken electro-mechanical movement – instead, I replace the broken movement with a modern, reliable Quartz movement with its own standalone power supply. Watch the video and it hopefully most your questions will be answered. The two classic car clocks repaired in this video are 1) the smaller Kienzle clock is from a Triumph Stag 2) the large red clock is from a Ford Thunderbird. The process is the same for 99% of the clocks I work on, from a 1938 Rolls Royce to a 1965 Jaguar E-Type or 1978 Porsche 911.
French Barrel Clock Converted to Quartz
In this example the original hands have been adapted to fit the new Quartz (battery powered) movement. Many clock conversions require the printing of 3D spacers, bezels and fastenings. This French Barrel clock required two circular spacers 3D printed to keep the movement held in place when the case back is pushed on – simple but effective.
Metamec Mains to Quartz Conversion
I love working on these retro kitchen clocks. Here’s a classic Metamec Green MAINS powered kitchen clock AFTER conversion to battery. All original hands re-worked to fit the new movement. More details on my mains powered to battery powered clock conversions here. I have a blog article on another Metamec Clock Conversion project here – one lucky customer sent me TWO Metamec clocks for repair. Both clocks were originally quartz but the movements on both had ceased up – unrepairable.

Jaeger Clock from an MG Magnette
Here’s another example of a Jaeger clock from a 1950’s MG Magnette. These clocks are mounted in the headlining of the car. I had to 3D print an internal frame to hold the movement and bond it to the external housing.
