A beautiful Art Deco mid-sized Mantel Clock professionally converted to a Seiko Quartz movement with Westminster Chimes. The beauty of these conversions is a) accuracy b) maintenance free c) authentic patina maintained d) realistic chimes e) NIGHT MODE and VOLUME controls. Just set the time and leave the clock to give hassle free time keeping for years to come. The time can be changed from winding the hands – just like when it was mechanical. All you need to do is change the AA battery every 18 months or so (VERY EASY).
Here we have a clock from the 1930-40’s – a stunning Art Deco design – professionally converted to BATTERY. Externally – this clock looks EXACTLY as it did 70 years ago. SAME hands, dial, glass etc. I have even added “faux” brass winding posts instead of leaving big empty holes. This is a lovely mid to large sized polished wood mantel clock. It would look great in any room from bedroom to hall or living room and office.
As with all my UPCYCLED CLOCKS I try to keep as much of the original as I can. This one has the ORIGINAL glass, bezel and clock dial. There is a tiny section of VENEER missing from the top left front corner. I have not tried to hide this as I believe it’s another part of the clock’s history and character. 100% unique, no two clocks I make are ever identical.
